Join me on a mushroom hunt as I analyze how a culture so frantically nice can be so cruel.

I grew up thinking I understood the lessons in the Book of Judges.  Now I'm not so sure I wasn't exactly wrong.  Enjoy another adventure into how I think.

I talk about two things that we do in social connections which may be wrong not because of what we do but because of how we do it.

When you desire to do good in someones life, what can you do when the situation prevents you.  I make a suggestion of the most important thing I do.  My analysis is from my (unique) spiritual perspective.  I have not analyzed the psychological value of this discipline.  But if a God is involved in our lives then this might be a way to optimize that involvement.

I think this talk defies any descriptions.  I don't exactly know where I was headed but I fully enjoyed the thoughts. I know this my concept of the deity is way too small.

I have long thought that primitive people who worshiped idols might find our approach to an objective world as ridiculous as their deification of idols appears to us.  I can't be sure how such people think, but I imagine the humility of assuming they weren't all stupid is a good thing.

What if you could train yourself to want something which you currently  do not desire. You could transform the discipline of doing things you  don't want to do, into the discipline of learning to want to do what you  should.  I'm not sure its possible but it is an interesting concept.
