Cell phone service or mobile internet

[2:52]
You might not have it where you are. Sometimes you have to pay another fee or an additional fee when you are needing that service.

Camping out

[5:36]

Make sure you're reading that fine print wherever you are to make sure you're not getting any of those extra fees because they will throw them in anywhere. You'll get a parking fee, a spot fee, depending on what it is or where you're parking. Remember that not every place that you park is treated the same.

Maintenance

[7:22]

Make sure that you're safe. you're prepared, but you also have that expense to be able to fix that. You never know what's gonna happen. It could be a blown tire or it could be overheating. You could run out of gas or forgot to change your oil or you have an oil leak.

Activity fees

[10:10]
We want to make sure we're saving money for those activities. But they also sneak in fees while we’re doing those activities.

[11:25]

You got to be real careful. Don't be afraid to call them up and ask them to verify that this is what you're really getting for your dollar. Sometimes, activity fees can be hefty and change from area to area.

How to avoid unnecessary fees

[14:15]

●      Do your research. It seems easy but it's probably the most important.

●      Look at reviews. Find out exactly what it will cost you each and every day. It doesn't hurt to call the places and find out if they have any hidden fees.

●      Leave nothing to surprise. Find out what stores are nearby.

●      Collect or make a little ornament about something you find there.

●      Have an emergency fund.

●      Give yourself a designated budget for each day or week of your trip and move according to that.

●      Try to pre-purchase it before you go.

●      Avoid overly expensive campgrounds.

●       Explore free camping activities.

●      Find your meals ahead of time.
