This week we are delighted to welcome to the show Tomorrowland main stage resident, from Belgium.... Yves V!
As a proud Belgian local Yves V made his Tomorrowland debut back in 2007 and went on to become the first Belgian to play on the Tomorrowland main stage, where he has held his spot as a resident ever since! A title he shares with fellow countrymen and close friends Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.
Yves V has also established his own stage at the famous festival called V Sessions, where he has hosted some massive names over the years including Eric Prydz and Nicky Romero to name a few.
Yves has featured heavily in the DJ Mag Top 100 poll over the years featuring a #34 finish back in 2015 with countless other top 100 finishes.
His breakout track came back in 2009 with “Insane Pressue” and from there it was no turning back releasing hit after hit, including his main stage festival banger with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike themselves “Madagascar”, and more recently “We Got That Cool” with Afrojack and Icona Pop - but the list of songs and collaborations could go on for days!!
His high energy sound combines a mix of electro, progressive house, pop, and everything else in between! He is certainly not bound by genre and you can be sure to have your hands in the air anytime Yves V is on stage.
We had an absolute blast with this legend of the game and can’t wait for you to hear this one!
This week we couldn’t be more excited to announce our proudly adopted Scottish techno hero… Mha Iri!
We were fortunate enough to have Mha Iri grace us in Australia with her melodic and driving techno sounds for a number of years before she recently moved back to Scotland.
Mha Iri quickly established herself as a legend of the local scene in Melbourne, regularly destroying dance floors at famous institutions such as New Guernica, Brown Alley and Xe54 to name a few! She also featured heavily on line ups at mega festivals such as Rainbow Serpent and Esoteric Festivals.
With a trademark driving sound Mha Iri and her epic productions have been making waves, being featured on record labels such as 1605 run by Slovenian legend Umek! She even recently teamed up with the label boss himself to produce her new track “Watchers Of The Sky” - an absolute BELTER.
Mha Iri has been dominating the Beatport charts in recent times, being featured as the #15 techno producer in the world, a list where she more than holds her own!
We still like to claim her as one of our own and we are thrilled to welcome to the show the Scottish techno Queen - Mha Iri!
This week we are excited to welcome to the show, Tom Evans & Jacob Malmo - The Journey!
After the best part of a decade first learning and then sculpting Australia’s house and techno scene, Jacob & Tom decided to pool their creative talents and energies together to form something even greater…The Journey.
Their original and outstanding productions in the studio certainly haven't gone unnoticed with chart topping hits such as ‘Secrets’ and ‘Chasing’ where they teamed up with fellow Australian producer Stace Cadet. They have also experienced international success with releases on well respected Berlin based labels including Stil vor Talent, Ritual Records, Einmusika Recordings and Poesi Musik.
The pair also happen to be the head honchos and curators of UGENIUS Music and Valiant Records where they pass on their emotive production qualities, signing some of the most impressive local and offshore producers in their sphere. But it’s behind the booth where The Journey shines brightest, having dominated stages at the famous Rainbow Serpent Festival, Pitch, Subsonic and Strawberry Fields to name a few. Internationally, the pair cemented two solid tours in 2018 and 2019 throughout Europe from Vienna to Amsterdam, Romania to Switzerland and an enviable 8 hour set in Berlin at the famous Sisyphos.
It’s only fitting that as Melbourne returns to freedom, we crack open a couple of cold VB’s with the boys and hear all about their ‘Journey’ (pun intended!)
