In this episode, I shed light on a very important and underlooked topic that isn’t talked about enough. It starts with understanding the outside agenda that we call The Attack on the Family Unit. The family unit is a whole.. And when it is compromised major trauma is formed and the bodies of all parties within this family unity spirals into shame and trauma, which then makes the energy field malleable.. the more outside forces and agendas can have control over you. It starts with YOU. You gotta start within YOURSELF. Bring your vision for the world to life and it starts at HOME.
It’s been a while since JD and I have been on an episode together. This one is so special! The best way to describe this episode is through Abraham Lincoln’s quote: “The best way to predict the future is to create it.” JD dives into why this quote hits home. It’s about allowing yourself to dream and believe in yourself to make it happen despite how you grew up. We discuss what to do once you have a vision that you are in love with and inspires you.
In this episode: Tapping into our Inner Diosa, we talk about understanding our vulnerabilities and struggles we experience as women. Christina shares her personal story having gone thru physical and verbal abuse. She was able to transform that aching in her bones, the loneliness and fear into healing and self-discovery. As a psychotherapist, she’s focused on breaking the stigma behind being private with struggles and not being open about suffering to others. The biggest takeaway from her journey was continuing to get up despite all the times she fell down.
In her book: “i am Diosa” she represents latinas with a strong voice and gives an inside look of what healing is really like. She provides a guide to overcoming, healing and transforming trauma at the root level so women can come back home to who they really are and who they were destined to become. Initiate your new beginnings, honor your ancestors and join the Diosa community!
Needless to say 2020 has been nonstop from a global pandemic to a worldwide lockdown, to a global protest. Covid and Black Lives Matter has been the focus recently. I’ve been in my own rabbit holes of leaning in and asking Spirit to guide me in navigating how I can best serve. And the one thing that I keep hearing is that it’s time to start thinking for ourselves.
Here in this episode I share some of my truths. I invite you to question and do your own research so you can arrive to your own truths. From this space we can start working together in building our own so we can get busy creating the world we truly want to create for our children, our neighbor’s children, and their children’s children. It will always be up to us and we need each other now more than ever. This is the time.
This episode was birthed because of the coronavirus.. As we’ve been quarantined for 2 months now, some of our neighbors and I got together and started having some really heartfelt convos on what is real and what not to believe.
We talk about the difference between discernment and judgement. With so much misinformation going around, we have to develop the muscle of discernment and really attune to the resonance of the information that comes our way so that we can decide what is real and serves our purpose.
Today I am joined by the fellas: the one and only JD Mitra, my partner in shine, and a dear friend of ours, who is also our personal trainer, Mark Swartz aka Optimus Prime. Born and raised in the bronx, Mark grew up playing basketball all over the globe, then transitioned into one of New York City’s top celebrity personal trainer and nutritionist, changing the world one body at a time.
The intro song is by the one and only KRS ONE – another fellow bronx mate with this infamous voice by Blondie. This is a tribute to the boogie down Bronx… let’s rock on!
If you got value and enjoyed this convo, please share it and tag me to be entered in a monthly draw to have a one hour coaching call with me… Sending love to you all!
