In this week episode, did the church lie to you and tell you Paul and James disagreed. They don't. Paul says you're justified by faith apart from works (Romans 4) — he's killing legalism. He's telling the religious crowd you can't earn salvation.
James says you're justified by works and NOT by faith alone (James 2:24) — he's killing fake Christianity. He's telling the lukewarm crowd you can't claim you believe and live like hell. Paul kills the legalist. James kills the hypocrite. The modern church is full of the second one. We have a church full of people who prayed a prayer, got their heaven ticket, and have zero fruit. No obedience. No transformation. No works. James 2:19 calls that faith demonic, James 2:17 calls it dead. Ephesians 2:8 says saved by grace through faith — but you skipped verse 10. You were CREATED FOR WORKS. If your faith doesn't produce works, it didn't produce salvation. This one will offend lazy Christians.
