1. Jesus' forgiveness knows no bounds.

2. Christ remembers those that the world forgets.

3. We are reminded of the destination of the Christian at the time of their death.

Based on the faithfulness of God, we have a choice to make.

1. The reality of the choice

- We will worship someone or something.

2. The seriousness of the choice

- This is not a choice to be made lightly.

3. The result of the choice

- We will be held accountable.

1. We can boldly claim the promises of God.

2. Ingratitude towards God’s gifts leads to laziness, which leads to disobedience.

1. Obedience to God is born out of a loving relationship with God (1-5)

2. When we allow sin in the church to go unchecked, we open ourselves to God’s discipline. (13-20)

3. A unified church demonstrates that the presence of the Lord is among them. (30-34)

1. We have seen the faithfulness of God. (3-8)

2. We are called to obedience to God. (9-13)

3. We must understand the consequences of disobedience. (14-16)

1. Jesus can be our refuge because He is impenetrable. (Psalm 46:1)

2. God can give us rest because He doesn’t rest. (Matt. 11:28)

3. Jesus can give us strength because His never runs out. (Phil. 4:13)

4. Jesus can nourish us because He is the source of our life. (John 10:10)

5. We can depend on the Lord because He is completely trustworthy and dependable.

1. Knowledge of the Lord will either lead to opposition to Him, or to a healthy fear of Him.

2. When we walk by our own sight, instead of walking by faith, we risk being deceived.

3. God’s desire is for sinners to fear Him, and submit to Him, and therefore be brought into relationship with Him.

1. Idolatry causes our priorities to shift from heavenly things to earthly things.

2. We must not let the fear of man overtake our fear of the Lord.

3. Sometimes we need to stop playing the blame game, look in the mirror, then turn to the Lord and repent.
