Today we will look at how Jesus explains in further detail the nature of God’s Kingdom, in three parables. And one of the main points that we will see is that the growth of God’s kingdom is somewhat unexpected because many thought that the kingdom of God would come in, big, loud, take over Rome, and provide immediate justice. Instead, 

Jesus will teach us 3 things: 

1. that the Kingdom of God starts small like a mustard seed, but will grow. 

2. the Kingdom of God grows inconspicuous like leaven in flour, that is perhaps slow and it begins with the inner transformation of the heart.

3. The kingdom of God grows alongside those who reject his kingdom, like wheat among the weeds.

This week, Jesus continues his conversation with the Pharisees and explains to us the nature of the human condition, namely he goes to the root of the Pharisee's problem and ultimately to the root of all of humanity’s problem, the problem is not that we don’t have enough evidence for God, it’s not that we don’t have enough proof that Jesus is the messiah, the problem is we have bad hearts.
