Matthew 28:1-10

1. He descended

* to identify with everyone

* to completely pay for our sins

2. He ascended

* to completely save us from our sins

* to transform us and heal us

II Corinthians 4:16-18

1. God says ‘no’ when he has a bigger perspective.

2. God says ‘no’ when He has a better plan.

3. God says ‘no’ when he has a greater purpose.

1. Trust that God does everything in goodness and love.

2. When in pain, pray what Jesus prayed facing the cross.

3. Expect God to give his grace to handle his answer.

"You are who you are for a reason. You're part of an intricate plan. You are a precious and perfect, unique design, called God’s special woman or man. You look like you look for a reason. God made no mistake. He knit you together within the womb, and you're just what he

wanted to make. The parents you had were the ones that he chose, and no matter how you may feel, they were custom-designed with God’s plan in mind, and they bear the Master’s seal. No, that trauma you faced was not easy. And God wept that it hurt you so. But it was allowed to shape your heart so that into his likeness you’d grow. You are who you are for a reason. You have been formed by the Master’s rod. You are who you are, beloved, because there is a God!"

Mark 8:38

1. Admit I am not in control.

If I'm humble, God will guide me.

If I’m humble, God will bless me.

If I'm humble, God will give me the power to change.

If I’m humble, God will reduce my stress.

2. Ask God for help!

3. Seek God, not a miracle!

4. Turn my attention from the world to the Word.

Matthew 6:9-15

"Pray in the Spirit at all times with all kinds of prayers, asking for everything you need. To do this, you must always be ready and never give up. And always pray for all of God's people."

Ephesians 6:18

1. Keep a running conversation with God.

2. Schedule prayer times throughout my day.

1. Get up with gratitude. (Thanksgiving)

2. Bless God's name at breakfast. (Praise)

3. At midmorning remember what matters most. (Dedication)

4. List my needs at lunch. (Petition)

5. I ask for forgiveness in the afternoon. (Confession)

6. Ask God to help me make wise decisions. (Protection)

7. I end my day with an encouraging truth. (Benediction)
