But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
1. You are acceptable – 1 Peter 2:9, “a chosen people”

1 Peter 2:9-10 (The Message Translation)
But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.
4. You are forgivable – 1 Peter 2:9, “a holy nation”
Romans 8:1 (New Living Translation)
“There is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus”
God doesn’t rehearse your sin, he releases it.

The mountains and hills may crumble, but my love for you will never end; I will keep forever my promise of peace.” So says the Lord who loves you.
The world tells us to “do, strive, and achieve” but Jesus says “surrender, believe and receive!”
