Shield/Helmet/Sword

When we are under spiritual attack, God gives us an arsenal with which to fight the "fiery darts of the devil".  This podcast looks at the Belt of Truth, The Breastplate of Righteousness, and having our feet shod with the Gospel of Peace.

How the Devil makes war on us - the rules of engagement with the Evil Realm.

What can Satan do to us and what are our defenses against the attacks of the spiritual realm.

You have a double-agent inside of you.  It is your old man.  You were born in sin, and that old man remains there until you take your last breath on planet earth.  When you came to the Lord by faith in Jesus, you were filled with the Holy Spirit who empowers you, illuminates scripture to you, and He whispers to you, teaching you how to apply God's word to your life.  When you walk in the Spirit.  When you live moment by moment trusting in Him and His word, the flesh within you becomes impotent.

Spirit of the Living God, fall afresh on me....

This podcasts looks into ways in which "the world" influences our minds.  That is one of the three frontal attacks we receive as warriors in the great Spiritual Battle.  Praise God!  We're on the winning side.

Choices have everlasting consequences.  Lucifer was created to be the most beautiful of all of God's creatures.  He was assigned to attend to the throne of God and to cover it with his wings.  (He is a cherub)  When Lucifer CHOSE to glorify himself and rebel against God, he became Satan which in Hebrew means "The Accuser".  When men and women were created, appearing as a serpent, he beguiled them and tempted them to be disobedient.  They too CHOSE to rebel, and sin entered the world.  With sin, entered the influences of the world, the flesh, and the Devil on each of us.  God give us weaponry with which to engage in spiritual battle, and this gives us the ability to win.  Choices have consequences.  Today, you and I have the CHOICE to serve a wonderful God who came in the form of a man called Jesus.  Serving Him is the ONLY way to be on the winning team in spiritual battle.  Through Him, we are more than conquerors.  We are on the winning team!

In beginning a serious study of Spiritual Warfare, we must be careful to focus on what scripture says about the subject.  Many modern writers focus on experiences they have had that may or may not be biblical.  Join us in this study as we look to see what the Bible says.  The big ideas of today's message are 1) We should be aware that we are in a Spiritual War, 2) We are on the winning side, and 3) The Bible gives us the correct teaching and instruction to understand the war and how to do battle properly in it.

Whether you know it or not, as a Christian you are involved in a great spiritual war.  Satan has lost the war, but he has been given a time to operate as prince of this world to work at upsetting and disrupting the believer's walk with Christ.  The forces are threefold: 1) The world, 2)The flesh, and 3) The devil.

Join us in this podcast as we begin to unpack the biblical pieces of this whole struggle.  Satan is not equal with God.  He is a fallen creation of God.  The Bible explains to us what the spiritual war is and also how we are to engage in combat.

Over the next few weeks I will be teaching on such topics as:  Can a Christian be demon possessed and/or demonized?  Can the devil make you sin?  Is there a demon of lust, adultery, gluttony or any other such thing?  Can you bind Satan?  Can you expel demons from a geographical area?  We will not be looking at what I have to say about this but rather we will be looking at what the Bible says about it as it is the ONLY source of such information upon which we can depend.
