Sometimes it seems as though God is unreasonable in his demands. For instance, he commands that we rejoice. That’s fine in the good times, but what about when our world is collapsing?  Rejoice? That may seem too much to ask. But God never asks us to do something that he doesn’t enable us to do. There are “joy busters” in our lives that prevent experiencing joy. Join us in discovering how we can rejoice even when it seems impossible.

Entrance exams can be unnerving. Your future is hanging in the balance. Have you ever thought about God’s entrance exam? How do you get into his family? How do you gain entrance into heaven. That’s one exam you want to pass. The apostle Paul will shed light on this critical issue.

The Gospel calls us to Christlikeness in all that we do. We have an excellent example in the life of Christ of what selflessness, humility, obedience and sacrifice is all about. True joy will be the result of us putting on the nature of Christ.

Paul went through sufferings and imprisonment for the sake of the gospel. Yet he rejoiced knowing that it brought boldness to the believers and the gospel was advanced. He concluded that by life or death Christ would be magnified in his body and that was a reason to rejoice! Maybe we have lost the joy in the gospel because we have lost the victory in suffering. Let us follow the example that Paul left for us to rejoice in all circumstances!

Finding happiness can be so elusive. The apostle Paul found joy in a prison with the prospects of losing his life. One of the things that lifted his spirits and brightened his day was the thought of special relationships. Let’s look into the heart of a truly joyful person to discover what makes him tick.

When we think of worship we may conjure up gatherings of God’s people, music, Scripture, sermons and offerings. But there is a very important yet often overlooked component to worship that may slip our minds—it is obedience. Join us as we explore this critical aspect to what it means to worship.

Money and stuff can be pretty important in our lives.  In fact it is easy to make those gifts of God idols that mean more to us than he does. This message probes how material things can detract us from true worship and the solution to that problem.

Music has become synonymous with worship in much of today’s parlance in the church. While music is an important element in our corporate gatherings it can be misunderstood and the source of much controversy and division. We want to examine what true musical worship might look like from Scripture.

Part of worshipping God is serving him and serving others. True and proper worship is to present our lives to God to do his will whatever that may entail.
