Jarre a'la SAM (TRIBUTE TO THE "Oxygen Master") by ::: SoundSAM :::

I just had to do a version of this ultimate heartfelt track... And I lowered the tempo to something more in tune with what I play in my DJ sets, and ended up at 135 bpm, and made it work that way. I really hope you enjoy this one, as it is in my heart, always.

Recorded in Phat Fuel Studio 15.05.2023 by Stian A. Mikkelsen aka SoundSAM, with vinyl only, two Technics 1210's and a classic Pioneer DJM800. Crafted by ear and heart, with love.

Oneshot, on the fly, single take... no trials

Old track from 2006, just finished remixed it and freshened it up for DJ gigs

Absolute freshest bun from the bakery, hottest gas from the lab, heaviest element from the galaxy, brightest star from the nursery, tightest groove from The 0n3, and 0nly, -yours truly-

Well, When I first heard this track, it was very weird. This melody and atmosphere has been in the background of my whole life, like I've always heard it in my head, and then, Røyksopp made it to reality.

Today, June 22, 2022, I had a big hole in my heart, and by making this edit, helped me fill it back in with the most personal heartfelt matter, and saved my day. This track mean so incredible much to me, as it is baldly true Norwegian sound, and as I said, has, like, always been with me. Many times I have grooved and cried at the same time cause of the beauty of this track.

So I couldn't resist, and add some classic SoundSAM spice and make make my own personal edit for my DJ sets and mixes when I'm out playing.

For now, it will not be available for download.

A quick take on one of my favorite tracks, mainly made for my DJ performances and gigs. Great for the dancefloor!

Press:

"Fenomenon's "Lucy Said" gets tweaked into a bubblin' n steppin' housey pop delight, tinged with a hint of R&B suavity for good measure. A catchy love tune primed for sweaty boogie-down sessions by the boudoir, or the ideal track to detect the darling of your life in a crowd of unknown faces. Either way, a blast of cheeky, half Chicagoan/half UK-informed house to crank the heat levels up to incendiary summits."

I talked to Helge T. (aka Mind Over MIDI), and he isn't very enthusiastic about remixing his tracks, as I can relate, but I couldn't resist, cause I need a version to play at my gigs, cause I love this track! Pretty different though, I tried to keep some of the vibe from it. Hope you enjoy!

"A bouncy take on Mind Over MIDI's "Elektrical Aktivity", SoundSAM's first revamp, beams proper exhilarating galactic vibes and does exactly what SoundSAM originally tailored it for: knocking dancefloors askew. Flush with sizzling bass bravura and soaring synth alchemy, the track hops with seamless ease from no-nonsense shuffle to spaced-out escapism in a jiffy."
