So we had a bit of a rough start to this one ladies and gentlemen... Tristan thought his story about the sun and an alarm was funny?
But we turn it around with a classic story about how Tristan lost his wallet in the fridge. He will never live that one down.
Everybody hates a Karen, especially if you are working in the retail industry around Christmas. Well do we ever relate to you because both of us have had to deal with our fair share of bullshit while serving other people in retail. And let us tell you, we don't appreciate it very much. So to all the Karens out there, put a mask on and shut up.
Speaking of retail... for all the ladies out there shopping at Aritzia this winter season, try to have a little bit of imagination in your styles. All of y'all look the exact same.
And to wrap it all up, we discuss what we would do in the event of an apocalypse. Let's just say one of us is choosing flight and one of us is choosing fight.
Merry Christmas from Unit 107
What can we say about love and dating? To be honest, not much because we are both slightly confused about the shit-show that is our respective love lives. But in this episode we take a stab at putting together the puzzle pieces.
With the Netflix show Sex Education setting the stage, both us look at the drama of our dating pasts, presents and futures and try to figure out why we can't figure it out. Maybe the problem is that Lucas and Tristan have such different views on it? There's plenty of agreeing to disagreeing on this episode.
Does it matter where you take your partner on your first date? How much should they expect from you on the first date? What do you talk about? What do you wear? All of these questions we try to answer, how successfully do we do that? You can be the judge of that while you listen...
We hope you enjoy the episode and maybe you'll learn something... but we all know you probably won't.
Cheers from Unit 107
We really turned nothing into something for this one... maybe we shouldn't put that out there? But who cares.
To start things off, Lucas regales the listeners with stories about his apartment troubles and how he fixed them with a toilet plunger. Then he continues with a story about Michael Caine (yes, Alfred from Batman) and how he ruined a perfectly good pair of blue suede shoes before taking a nap on his parents front lawn at 4:30am.
We then continue with a real philosophical debate about whether athletes or artists are more significant in popular culture. Let's just say we disagreed a little about this one.
Tristan then tries to get Lucas intrigued with the Netflix show You. All we can say is Lucas wasn't jumping out of his seat to watch the first episode...
And to close out the show we have a heated argument about whether SNL is actually any good.
Hope you enjoy everybody,
Cheers from Unit 107
We open up the show talking about Lucas' troubles in his love life... it's rough out there everybody. It's a rock and hard place type of situation for the guy.
And have any of you thought about which decade you'd want to be born into? For Lucas it's the 50s (he's a 75 year old man trapped in a 21 year old body) and Tristan wants to be a hippie child in the 70s.
Like any other episode, Lucas delivers plenty of hot takes. He doesn't like Queen, Adele isn't worth $100 million on Oprah, Tesla is stupid and Jeff Bezos is ruining the world. He's a real positive thinker people.
Also, does anybody really know what the Mandela Effect is? We were a little confused.
Cheers everybody, we hope you enjoy!
Don't get the wrong idea about the title people... we also go to Church on Sundays.
In this episode we talk about Lucas' moving experience and Tristan's obvious lack of help in the process.
We give our differing opinions on the "Wolf of Wall Street" epic by Martin Scorcese, which was Tristan's awakening to his love of Margot Robbie by the way. And even with all his research notes Tristan still fumbles and bumbles his movie history. But Lucas also has a few missteps alongside him too.
Tristan offers up another one of his famous hypotheticals for the amusement of the audience.
And we close out the show talking about why Lucas thinks kids shouldn't have dreams (sort of)...
The cherry on top of it all is a little game we played to speed up the drunkenness.
We hope you all enjoy!
In this episode we delve into Tristan's adventures in Castlegar, BC (you've probably never heard of it and you probably never will again) and the first time the two of us had a sip of alcohol. Of course, we haven't stopped sipping since...
Plus we'll regale you with stories of our childhoods growing up in the big, bad city of Edmonton.
And to top it all off, Lucas tells a story about a very important life lesson he learned about playing for third place...
It's a good one ladies and gentlemen and we hope you enjoy every second of this episode.
Cheers from Unit 107
Lucas just can't take it anymore... but he'll tell you all about it while Tristan tries to justify himself. And we have a little fight over who is going to take what when Lucas moves.
Plus we discuss why you should never wear a Pikachu costume while riding a moped down Whyte Avenue and let Lucas see you, he'll have some words about it.
And to top it all off, Tristan asks one of his "famous" hypothetical (and quite silly) questions while Lucas tries to plan out his future.
It's a good one this week so have a drink and enjoy!
Here we go again... we're back just trying to be funny.
This episode is a bit of a wildcard where we talk about everything from how Lucas got the idea to start smoking, Tristan's confused thoughts on fate, Jake Paul's boxing career, Halloween, landing strips (not for planes) and so much more.
We hope you enjoy all of our meaningless opinions.
Cheers from Unit 107
PS. Sorry Mrs. Jones
Recorded 10/20/21
This is the debut ladies and gentlemen. It's a bit rough around the edges so cut us a break (we promise they get better)...
Pour yourself a drink and enjoy listening to us trying to be funny for the next little while.
Cheers
