Consider your life as a castle made of stone, much like the castle Karl Jung built for himself near the end of his life. Rev. Whittenberg has been exploring the stones that make up her own castle and will invite you to do the same, weaving poems throughout the sermon.Rev. Linda Whittenberg could be introduced a number of different ways. As UU minister, she served UU congregations in San Luis Obispo, CA and Spokane, WA and was Extension Consultant for the Mountain Desert District. As poet she is author of three volumes of poetry. Since retiring she and her husband have lived in Santa Fe, the place she has considered home since first moving there in 1978. Coming from a long line of quilters she has moved from traditional quilting to the world of art quilting, which these days happily absorbs a good deal of her time. Sermon presented on May 7, 2017.

Driving big red trucks had never been on his bucket list. But after a long career as a parish minister and successful author, Kowalski could not help reflecting on the life lessons that come from responding to everyday catastrophes. Come learn about the good luck of false alarms, the oddly sane characters we deem mentally unfit, and the unexpected grace of having your house burn down.
