How are we as liberal religionists stuck in a culture of perfectionism? Although we might be freed by accepting ourselves as worthy what will we have to change? 

We’ll look at the tension between our first (inherent worth) and seventh principle (interdependent web) to see how we might address the intersections of race, class and the environment. How might we deepen our relationships across culture? Stay after today for a discussion of the UUA Common Read, Justice on Earth. 

Every person’s journey is full of stories of how they came to be here today that deserve honor and recognition. Understanding our personal stories and listening to the stories of others, we come to sense that they are not very different from our own.

With respect to the “truth” referenced in the Unitarian Universalist 4th Principle, are science and religion searching for the same thing? 

The color green signals not only the coming of spring and our care for the environment, but the luck of the Irish, and the color of money. What has it meant to continue to be a part of a study group? Why should we learn for its own sake?

Today we’ll celebrate membership in our fellowship. For many, simply the arrival is a journey, but also, the journey itself is home.

What can we learn from Black History, both in the nation and in our own faith movement?

Multigenerational service. It used to be everybody got a hug if someone wanted to give one. We are discovering a greater awareness that there is more involved than just what we want. Worship will be followed by “Fellowship FondUU”!
