In Luke 19:28–40, we witness Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem as He rides into the city on a colt, fulfilling prophecy and revealing Himself as the promised King. As the crowd praises God and celebrates the coming of the King, the Pharisees demand that Jesus silence His followers. This passage challenges us to recognize who Jesus truly is, boldly proclaim His greatness, and understand that the King deserves our praise, even when others refuse to acknowledge Him.

In Luke 19:11–27, Jesus reminds us that while we wait for our King to return, we are called to faithfully use what He has entrusted to us. One day, the King will return and we will give an account of our faithfulness.

Jesus again predicts His death - Luke 18:31–34: Jesus clearly tells His disciples that He is going to Jerusalem to suffer, die, and rise again, yet they struggle to understand what He is telling them.
