Jesus again predicts His death - Luke 18:31–34: Jesus clearly tells His disciples that He is going to Jerusalem to suffer, die, and rise again, yet they struggle to understand what He is telling them. This passage reveals both the certainty of Christ’s sacrifice and the disciples’ inability to grasp God’s plan until it was fulfilled.
