In Daniel 5, we learn the origin of the phrase, “the writing on the wall,” see the great Belshazzar of Babylon weighed in the balances of God and found wanting, and are reminded that against the weight of God’s glory, none of us measure up. We praise God for the good news that He sent Jesus, who is more than enough. He did what we couldn’t, and through faith in Him, we can stand before God, washed clean and righteous.
