Pablo Contraband's Mixtape Autumn 2025 by Paul Budd aka Pablo Contraband

Pablo X Weatherall X Contraband by Paul Budd aka Pablo Contraband

After sitting on this mix for over 3 years, we felt the time was right to release the recording from what was an incredible night out. Sadly it turned out to be Andrew's last visit.

Andrew was a touchstone for many and a regular at Disco Deviant. This week would have been his 60th Birthday and we are marking the occasion with a couple of musical happenings.

Shortts in Brighton on Easter Thursday with Pablo Contraband & Perry Granville

Cellar Arts Club in Worthing on Good Friday with Pablo Contraband & Alex Webb

Both running 7.30pm - midnight - Free entry.

Enjoy the mix and we hope many of you will join us to celebrate his 60th.

"Stay hungry. If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room."

Recorded live on warm up duties at Gorilla Manchester

First hour from one of Pablo's shows recorded in spring 2021

Featuring tracks from Third Attempt, Hercules and Love Affair, Serge Santiago and Bad yard club.

Pablo Contraband in the mix, this is the opening set from the WSHOM x Unity fundraiser we held online, raising funds for UK Food Banks.

#LIVEFORLOVE - PLEASE DONATE HERE > https://www.gofundme.com/f/LIVEFORLOVEUK

During COVID- 19 we are asking musicians, artists, DJs, Producers to live stream for love. During this difficult time, now more than ever there are people that are desperately relying on Food Banks across the UK.

The Trussell Trust support a nationwide network of food banks and provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty.

In the UK, more than 14 million people are living in poverty – including 4.5 million children. The Trussell Trust support more than 1,200 food bank centres to provide a minimum of three days’ nutritionally-balanced emergency food to people who have been referred in crisis, as well as support to help people resolve the crises they face.

Classic Disco Deviant night at Audio in Brighton in 2014 - Pablo opened and then Andrew & Daniel took control for the final few hours.

Enjoy

Pablo Contraband dedicates a show to Andrew Weatherall. An attempt at paying some sort of homage to one of his biggest musical influences.

It has been such a sad week, hope this helps in some way.

The Guv'nor

First half of Andrew's performance at Disco Deviant, alongside Pablo Contraband at the Rialto Theatre, Brighton.

It was a full house with a lot of positive energy in the fairly intimate room. It was Brexit night and we marked the occasion with high quality audio visuals and a heady atmosphere throughout.

Sadly, this turned out to be Andrew's final set with us as he died just over two weeks later.

The world changed with a full lockdown and a full shutdown of clubs for a year afterwards. The Governor left and we stopped.

This Easter weekend would have been his 60th Birthday and we are marking the occasion with two intimate events on the South Coast.

Easter Thurs 6th April - Shortts Bar, Brighton - 7.30 - midnight

Good Friday 7th April - Cellar Arts Club, Worthing 7.30 - midnight

Recorded live at Headrow House, Leeds with Late Tuff Guy
