A Comfy Cushion for Tisha B’Av Mourning?
The Temple Institute Establishes the World’s First School for Training Kohanim for the Service of the Holy Temple
This week those in the Diaspora catch up with their brethren in the Land of Israel, with the Torah readings of Matot and Masei… and, this Friday we shall all welcome the new month of Menachem Av, the Consoling Father. As the month of Av enters, our traditional customs of mourning are ratcheted up, and the process of introspection and mourning for the loss of the Holy Temple intensifies as the Ninth of Av draws closer. This week’s Temple Talk takes a hard look at what has become the yearly cycle of mourning for the Temple, and asks: Has it evolved into a yearly cycle of avoidance? Why has the rebuilding of the Holy Temple become mythologized? If we believe the Holy Temple has to become real, then we need to prepared for its resumption in every way…. that’s why the Temple Institute has established Nezer HaKodesh, the world’s first school for training kohanim (Levitical priests) for their service in the Holy Temple.

But what is the true goal of the mourning experience? This week’s thought-provoking edition of Temple Talk focuses on attitudes and misconceptions about this cycle of mourning, as Yitzchak Reuven and Rabbi Richman urge us to ‘escape from the hamster wheel’ and turn this tragic period into triumph — through resolve and action. • Temple Talk Radio: Pinchas: What Ever Happened to Standing Up for the Truth?
Temple Talk is a weekly internet radio webcast with Rabbi Chaim Richman and Yitzchak Reuven of the Temple Institute.
    This week features:
Tammuz 17: The Meaning of the Cycle of Mourning
Political Correctness Gone Mad: Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil… But There is Evil All Around Us
This week’s edition of Temple Talk grapples head on with the universal malady of denying evil and the politically correct establishment’s refusal to recognize and identify the dangers threatening society. Pinchas, the most politically incorrect kohen who ever lived, was rewarded with an eternal priesthood and a covenant of peace… all because he stood up for the truth. Is it wrong to point that out? Are we in trouble here? Do we have to apologize for Torah? Are its eternal truths to be put on trial? All this, plus our hosts inimitable insights into the upcoming cycle of mourning for the Holy Temple, in this week’s episode of Temple Talk.

Hallel Yaffa Ariel of Blessed Memory Unites All of Israel Around the Temple Mount
Just back from a speaking tour in the USA, Rabbi Richman reunites with Yitzchak Reuven in Jerusalem for this week’s exciting edition of Temple Talk. Our hosts reflect on the heathen prophet Bilaam’s desire to curse the people of Israel as described in this week’s Torah portion of Balak, and connect this to UNESCO’s most recent machinations to officially proclaim the Temple Mount as having no connection to Jewish history. Yitzchak Reuven and Rabbi Richman also report on the continuing Temple Mount awareness revolution, which is growing stronger and effecting all aspects of Israeli society, as witnessed this week as a thousand Jews from all over the Land of Israel heeded the call of bereaved parents Rina and Amichai Ariel, and streamed to the Temple Mount to honor the memory of their holy daughter Hallel Yaffa, murdered in her own bed by an Arab terrorist

Korach, the Demagogue of Anarchy and Would-Be Usurper of the Priesthood
Yitro the Pathfinder and the Wayward Hearts of the Spies who Went to Look for the Promised Land
This week Yitzchak Reuven is alone at the mike as Rabbi Richman finishes up his speaking tour in Texas, and Yitzchak shares his thoughts about the spies who lost their nerve, about Korach, whose sharp mind, smooth tongue and unbridled ambition lands him and his privileged followers deep in the bowels of the earth till the end of time. The Book of Numbers chronicles the ups and many downs of forty years in the desert with the children of Israel, but were the children of Israel such screw-ups or were they simply human, like the rest of us?
