Paul had for 30 years travelled all over the Roman empire preaching the gospel. He had endured hardship and trials wherever he went. He had narrowly escaped death numerous times. But now he sees his execution in Rome is near. He sends Timothy a letter encouraging him to come to him soon. Knowing this letter will likely be his last correspondence, he encourages Timothy, as a father to his son in the faith, to fight the good fight of faith. Paul is laying down his armor. Now he is exhorting and encouraging his son to continue the fight. In this lesson we will explore 2 Timothy and be challenged to fight the good fight of faith the Lord has given to us.
