Why do we go to church? Do we go to check a box, or show God how faithful we are? Or do we come because we need the peace that only God can offer through His son Jesus Christ.

Before Jesus, our life was a dead sea and an unforgiving dessert. We could produce no life on our own. We had no water of life that flows from us; therefore we were dead and stagnant like a Salt Sea. The only thing that thrived in our lives was sin, and sin, the Bible tells us leads to death. We were desperate. Do you sometimes still feel this desperation? Thank God there was someone who had a Passion for us - and that is Jesus Christ.
