DON'T TALK TO STRANGERS!! That's what our parents would always say when we were younger but is that the correct advice? While it's natural to feel hesitant or nervous when approaching someone you don't know, there are many good reasons why you shouldn't be afraid. Talking to strangers is a great way to make new connections and expand your social and professional networks. You never know who you might meet or what opportunities could arise from striking up a conversation with someone new. Networking with someone from a different background or with different experiences can provide a valuable learning opportunity. You may gain new insights, perspectives, and knowledge that you wouldn't have otherwise. Talking to strangers can be fun and exciting! You never know what interesting stories, experiences, or ideas someone might have to share. Just think about your best friend for example at one point in life they were a stranger. While it's important to be cautious and aware of your surroundings, striking up a conversation with a stranger can be a rewarding experience. It can lead to new connections, learning opportunities, confidence-building, breaking barriers, and even fun and excitement. So don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and start a conversation with someone new!
