(UN)Learn to Learn with Fab & Her Sis EP 13

Listen Later

Colleen Channer (my sister and you’ll hear us call each other Channer:) returns to the show as we discuss the Black Experience in the Series, (UN)Learn to Learn. This series is created  to share more and to speak to my Black friends, family and community members, so they too can share their stories and education on The Black Experience. I want to continue to share the realities of Black People Living in our society plagued with white supremacy and systems that keep that in place. I am holding space for us to have open and honest dialogue, that will hopefully inspire people to think differently and be part of the change towards actually equality.

In this episode, my sister and I continue this discussion on the Black Experience and expand more on a quote from Malcolm X that speaks to the treatment of Black Women in society:

"The most disrespected person in America is the Black Woman. The most unprotected person in America is the Black Woman. The most neglected person in America is the Black Woman." -Malcolm X, 1962”

Our discussion is unfiltered, vulnerable and deeply personal as we share our own personal experiences in relation to this quote, and how we, as Black Women, have been/are treated and viewed in this society.
