Michael Rutherford is a recent graduate of the Nutritional Therapy Association where he learned to practice functional nutrition. The NTA is rooted in using diet and nutrition to optimize healthy function in the body based on nutrient dense, properly prepared local foods.

Michael is also certified as a Primal health coach and loves to combine the two practices to help create a unique and individual plan for each client.

Larry and Kay Lynne Diamond were both obese and in ill health when a family health tragedy prompted them to question everything health related.

They both had their health restored and lives transformed for the better by adopting a real food low carb healthy fat (LCHF) way of eating.
At the time their recently adopted daughter was only two. Larry who had a science background as an environmental scientist decided to apply himself to health and nutrition with a wholly open-mind and evolutionary perspective.

In the early months of 2015, I discovered the Paleo movement. While reading the Paleo Magazine, I read an article about a guy who seemed a lot like me, overweight, and depressed that the traditional methods of weight management were not working. He read Mark Sisson’s “The Primal Blueprint.” and it changed his life.

So I thought, “why not give it a shot.”

I went to the local bookstore that week and bought a copy of “The Primal Blueprint,” and my eyes were opened.

The way I lived my life and the way I ate were horrible. I was poisoning myself. I bought other books by Mark Sisson, and Robb Wolf, and tried to learn as much as I could about this lifestyle that works for so many and has been right in front of our noses for thousands of years.

So after a few months of reading what I could about this Primal/Paleo movement, I decided to start the “Primal Blueprint Certification Course, ” and two months later, I became a Certified Expert.

This journey is far from over, and I hope with this blog, I can reach and show others about this fairly new movement.

You must listen to this episode if you are a Mom or Dad, or anyone healing from gut issues.

Most of your health will come from the foods you eat. The nutrients that you provide your body by way of ingesting the essential nutrients our body requires in order to operate properly and express optimal health.

You are genetically designed to express this health status, and isn’t supposed to be hard either. In fact, it is quite easy.

Every one of us has the blueprint on our DNA to be strong like the hunter and gatherers were for 2 million years.

Too many toxins and not enough essential nutrients create an environment that provides our genes and our DNA the worst building blocks, and won’t allow the body to function at its optimal level. This leads to sickness and disease.

Peak performance, optimal health, and just simply living a healthy life requires peak provisions of essential nutrients. Nutrients that are from the most natural sources possible. The fewer middlemen between the earth and your plate the better.

Put simply, just eat real foods, mostly plants, healthy meats from healthy sources, seafood, nuts, seeds, and fruits. Pretty easy!
