In this Episode, Nay & Ang chat with Khiara Lee about Black Maternal Health Disparities. Khiara is a graduating Master’s of Public Health candidate concentrating in Maternal and Child Health from Brown University. Khiara is from Coldwater, MS, and got her BS in Biology minor in Psychology from Tougaloo College in Jackson, MS. Khiara thought she would go to medical school and become an OB/GYN, instead, she does research surrounding maternal health outcomes that negatively affect minority communities, specifically the African American community in the South. To deepen her research knowledge, she will attend the University of Maryland to get her Ph.D. in Maternal and Child Health to become a research professor at an HBCU.

In this episode, Nay and Ang discuss the transition into their 27th year of life, by saying GOODBYE to 26 and HELLO to 27. They reflect on the age that was most significant in transforming their lives for the better.
