Friday, Congressman Huffman Posts on Facebook
“Truman [my cat] thinks there is a better way to get safe electrical power to a single customer in Potter Valley than cutting down a large tree with an active bald eagle nest. I've urged PG&E to delay this wrongheaded move and explore alternatives. I've also criticized the US Fish & Wildlife Service for reflexively granting the tree-cutting permit without serious scrutiny and with zero tribal consultation.
The tribes and activists who are fighting to protect this eagles nest are not wrong, even though they are being ridiculed and demeaned for taking this stand. This feels like a real-world Lorax story with our own truffula tree and swomee swan.” https://www.facebook.com/jared.huffman.9
