On this episode, Devin and Eve take a look at the issue of female representation in the Star Wars galaxy, Episode VIII's newly released title, and the case for recasting the role of Princess Leia.

Sabine's Hero's Journey starts here! In an interesting exploration of Sabine's past and Mandalore we see several harsh confrontations that must happen in order for Sabine's story to move forward. We get some great background on the Darksaber itself. It'll be interesting to see if we get more on the lore of this mysterious saber as we move forward in the Star Wars story overall. (As an aside, I'm especially curious of how it plays with the information we learn about Kyber Crystals in the Ahsoka novel or if this crystal is completely different.) We also get more information on the conflict that Sabine has with her family. The episode is very different from just about any we seen thus far, but it is a good one! The conflict in relationships, within Sabine herself and the looming confrontation that is likely to come all make for a heavy and fascinating episode. Can't wait to see how Sabine takes on the leadership role that she spend much of the episode avoiding.

In this episode, Devin, Beks and Donell discuss recent Han Solo casting decisions, Rian Johnson's promise of conflict for Luke and Rey in Episode VIII, and tackle the issue of ethics when using CGI-created characters. Also: Jedi Scavenger takes a look at fan-initiated collecting clubs and their benefits.

It was great to see Zeb finally be featured in Season 3! We get to see fun interactions between Zeb, Chopper and AP-5. While the rest of the Ghost Crew is out on a training mission Zeb is left to look after Chopper Base. When a mysterious droid is found Zeb decides to bring it back to the base, which proves to be a poor choice. We get to see some of Zeb's leadership style and how he has to fend off bullying from both Chopper and AP-5. After finally subduing the Imperial Infiltrator droid AP-5 is able to reprogram it as a booby-trap for the Imperials. Zeb's plan works and a Star Destroyer is taken out. Yet, Thraw once again dominates the end of the episode. Fun plot devices to drive the overall story forward. It'll be fun to see what come next!

Intriguing start to the second half of the season. Saw makes things interesting with his appearance, bringing together several stories between The Clone Wars, Rogue One and now Rebels. With little to lose we see him making decisions that will serve his purpose with little regard for everyone else involved. We also see how his recklessness is gaining a reputation within the Rebellion and making others hesitant to work with him. The relationships between Rex and Saw create an interesting callback to TCW and continue to bring the overall Star Wars story forward. It is going to be fun to see where our story goes with throughout the rest of Season 3!
