This story is about Lindsay Williams' and her reinvention From Olympic Burnout to Elite athlete and coach.
By 2006, Lindsay Williams had already stood on the biggest stage in her sport. A Team USA Nordic skier at the Winter Olympics in Turin. But behind the accomplishment was exhaustion. Years of grueling training had burned her out completely, and she walked away from the sport that defined her identity. What came next wasn't a straight line back to glory.
It was a total reinvention. Lindsay dove headfirst into the food service industry, building a career as a sous chef, all while quietly keeping her body moving through runs with her dog and backyard plyometric work.
But it was the industry itself, late nights out with coworkers, a lifestyle drifting further from the athlete she used to be that delivered her wake up call.
It came in an unlikely place: doing pull-ups in a workout class, feeling that old fire flicker back to life. That moment sparked a full return to her athletic drive. She turned to CrossFit and Hyrox, which has led her to becoming one of the best in the country at both.
This episode is about what happens when you let go of who you were to rebuild who you're becoming.
