Unpluggered

A bizarre week.

After re-signing coach Brett Ratten to a two-year extension mid-year we would have put our house on him being the man to lead the St Kilda Football Club into 2023. As we all know, Ratts' tenure at the club ended abruptly as he was removed from his position last week.

But why? What happened? What's next? What does it mean? We take a look.

It's been a while but we catch up to talk through some of the rumours and chat about the upcoming trade period, plus the state of St Kilda FC's list and where we need to improve. Full season review is coming soon!

What? We're still a chance to play AFL Finals in 2022? Well, mathematically. But not really. We take a look at another disappointing result and look ahead to what should be our final game of the year, plus a Rising Star nomination for Marcus Windhager, Max King's goalkicking woes, Dan Hannebery and just... where to from here?

A disappointing loss to Geelong as many would have expected down at the Cattery. The gulf in class was evident as the Cats were simply better for longer. Somehow St Kilda's season is still alive and we have another shot to fight for a Finals spot this week at home against the Lions.

Our guest this week is Nathan Freeman, himself no stranger to fighting through adversity, as he dealt with injury after injury after injury to finally make his debut five years after being drafted as a top-ten talent in the 2013 AFL Draft.

It wasn't pretty but they got the job done. The Saints' finals hopes are still alive after a hard-fought win over the Eagles in Perth.

We're joined this week by a fan favourite who only played 28-games for the Saints across seven years. Darren Minchington's St Kilda career was plagued by injury, but managed to find a place amongst the hearts of Saints fans across the country.
