  • Stephen Milne - Unpluggered S1 Special Guest [2019 RECAP]
During the AFL's enforced COVID-19 break we'll be revisting some of our special guest interviews from previous episodes.
Love him or hate him, Stephen Milne is a great of the St Kilda Football Club.
574 goals from 275 games puts him fifth on the St Kilda Football Club's all-time goalkicking list, behind only the storied careers of Tony Lockett, Bill Mohr, Nick Riewoldt and Stewart Loewe.
    Milney. Milne-dog. Tiprat.
We spoke to him in August 2019 about his career, playing under coaches Ross Lyon and Grant Thomas, finals football and much more.

  • Adam Schneider - Unpluggered S1 Special Guest [2019 RECAP]
During the AFL's enforced COVID-19 break we'll be revisting some of our special guest interviews from previous episodes.
Adam Schneider was an important cog in the greatest team to never win an AFL Premiership. 130 games, 160 goals and three AFL Grand Final appearances for the St Kilda Football Club (after 98 games and a premiership with the Sydney Swans), the small forward known as "Schneiderman" talks about that 2009-10 Grand Final period, coach Ross Lyon, and the best (and shittiest!) memories of his Saints career.
Listen to our chat with 'Snides' from August 2019.

  • Peter 'Spida' Everitt - Unpluggered S1 Special Guest [2019 RECAP]
During the AFL's enforced COVID-19 break we'll be revisting some of our special guest interviews from previous episodes.
Today - Round 2, 2020 - the St Kilda Football Club was scheduled to play the West Coast Eagles, so we thought we'd look back at someone who had a defining impact on a Saints vs WCE match way back in 1998.
Peter 'Spida' Everitt kicked 6 goals and earned himself 3 Brownlow votes for his Round 6 performance, with the Saints coming back from a 27 point deficit with only 10 minutes to go, to ultimately prevail by two points.
Listen as Spida talks through some of his favourite (and most painful) memories, and what he loves about the mighty Sainters.

  • 2.3: One of the greatest Saints ft. Robert Harvey & Darren O'Shaughnessy
Another pre-season week gone means we're one week closer to Round of the 2020 AFL Premiership season! Before we get to our guests, the lads chat everything from the Marsh Cup and friendly match performances against the Hawks at Moorabbin and Morwell, the Saints AFLW side unlucky to not be on the positive side of the ledger - and higher up the ladder - after 3 hard-fought losses to go with their maiden AFLW win over the Demons, and how the squad might shape up for the next Marsh Cup game against Collingwood.
In 2008, Mike Sheahan named this week's featured guest as one of the top 50 VFL/AFL players of all time. Ever.He made his debut as a 16 year old, and 21 years later, retired as one of the greatest Saints to play the game. 383 games (#5 overall). 215 goals. 4x Trevor Barker medallist. 2x Brownlow medallist. 8x All-Australian. 3x EJ Whitten medallist. 1997 AFLPA MVP.
#35 Robert Harvey joins us on Unpluggered to talk about his 21 years playing for the Red, White & Black, playing underage footy with cricket's greatest leg spinner of all time, Shane Warne, Moorabbin, Tony Lockett, and other great Saints he was lucky enough to play with and the teams he was a part of.
We close the show live in the studio with Darren O'Shaughnessy, Senior Analyst at the St Kilda Football Club, talking about his role, how data shapes decisions in today's AFL, and some insight into the reasons we went after five specific experienced players at the trade table at the end of 2019.

  • 2.2: Boys Back at Moorabbin, Saints of Origin ft. Stewart Loewe
Our next guest played 321 games for the St Kilda Football Club, kicking 594 goals between 1986-2002, co-captained the 1997 Grand Final team, and for a period, held the VFL/AFL record for the most marks in the history of the game. Stewart Loewe is a Trevor Barker Medallist, 2x All Australian, EJ Whitten Medallist and was named at Half Forward in the St Kilda FC Team of the Century.
The man with the big hands - or 'Buckets' to his mates and fans - joined Unpluggered Podcast to talk about his career, the legacy of his great mate Danny Frawley, Tony 'Plugger' Lockett, Moorabbin, and the day he - to the surprise of everyone - actually nearly left the St Kilda Football Club. But, of course, he stayed, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Darren, Nick and Aaron are back before the mighty Saints' first Marsh Cup clash against Hawthorn at Moorabbin (RSEA Park), chatting all things St Kilda FC. Leadership group announcement, team selection, the AFLW results amidst some fantastic St Kilda women's performances, with some special Moorabbin Oval memories from each of the boys.

  • 2020: Let's Own It - ft. St Kilda FCW's Kate Shierlaw & Olivia Vesely
    Footy's back at Moorabbin!
On the eve of a famous day in the history of the St Kilda Football Club, Darren Parkin, Nick Splitter and Aaron McGrath are back to kick off the first episode of 2020 with a bang.
Just days out from the first official match of the St Kilda FC Women in their inaugural AFLW season, the boys discuss the list build of the St Kilda FCW team and the makeup of Conference B in 2020, the Saints finals chances in year one, and of course, the big Round 1 clash with the Western Bulldogs girls, coached by none other than former St Kilda legend, Nathan Burke.
We'll get to know the newly announced Saints co-captain, KATE SHIERLAW, and young gun, OLIVIA VESELY, as the girls join the podcast to give us a sense of the excitement within the club, and what it means to them to be able to represent the storied Red, White and Black at the famous Moorabbin Oval (RSEA Safety Park).
The boys also touch on a few of the key stories to come out of the St Kilda FC Men's team pre-season counting down to Round 1 against the Kangaroos, and answer some audience questions and issues from social media.

  • 2019 Season Finale: "A Story of Great Players and Great Times" ft. Barry Breen, Jamie Cox & Chris Toce
The 2019 season is now officially in the books, with the NAB AFL Draft, Rookie Draft and Pre-Season Draft complete. After a massive trade period haul, the St Kilda FC recruitment team didn't have alot of draft assets to work with. Chris Toce, the club's State Recruitment Manager (VIC & Allies), joined Darren, Nick and Aaron in the studio to discuss what the process of youth recruitment looks like in the AFL, leading all the way up to final decisions on AFL Draft night. Another fantastic look under the bonnet, into the inner-sanctum of the St Kilda Football Club after Pro Scout Steve Lennie joined us on the last episode.
Chris talks through the three new young lads, Ryan Byrnes, Leo Connolly and Jack Bell, as well as guys like Jack Bytel, Max King and Callum Wilkie with detail you won't find anywhere else.
Following the draft chat, Jamie Cox, former elite first-class cricketer and current GM of Football Performance at the St Kilda Football Club, also jumped on the phone to discuss developments in the football program and the official entrance of St Kilda's team in the AFLW for 2020, the importance of Peta Searle, and some fantastic news about the state of the footy club's membership drive.
Last - but certainly not least - St Kilda Royalty! One of the very few St Kilda Premiership players, and holder of the greatest point in AFL history - Barry Breen - joined the lads for a quick discussion on the health of another club great, Kevin 'Cowboy' Neale, and both of their legacies within the walls of the St Kilda Football Club.
It may be the last episode of 2019, but it's definitely one you won't want to miss.
