In this episode of the Unrefined Podcast we feature an interview with Steve Harmon, an amazing follower of Jesus who does ministry on the fringes.  We discover how he walks with the Lord to be the hands and feet in a lost and lonely world. His stories are inspiring and create a sense of urgency for those of us in discipleship to step out and be Jesus.

Steve discusses how his main goal is to change the world, to have an effect in bringing the kingdom on this planet. He continues with his desire to train and equip people, grow them in the ability to heal the sick. “We have an army to fight the battle because there is a battle.”

The host and guest talk about - What is the point of a miracle? Not just to heal people, but to prove to people that God is real.  If you have power behind it, then that solidifies or at least helps give much more evidence to the reality of God.

Brandon asks Steve to talk about his journey doing ministry with SRA or Satanic ritual abuse (programming). Steve explains how the soul fractures through trauma. What happens when it comes to SRA is that the demonic takes those parts and then they imprison them. It makes it really hard to try to get that system to come to the other side.

Steve discusses how the book of Job basically is a book that proves what all he’s saying is true. In Job when God says to Satan, ‘all he has is in your hands’, God’s just stating what the law says. God is the judge. Christians have taken that verse out of context so badly.

Doing ministry is about building the kingdom. You can't just get caught up in the American dream lifestyle. We have responsibility, a commission to do the things that we need to do.

What Blood Establishes in Spiritual World

In this episode, our guest Doug Van Dorn provides a primer, explaining what the Nephilim are, how they fit into the Genesis 6 narrative, and why this topic is important for Christians to understand. He also discusses how the Nephilim may have impacted the world today and why Christians need to be aware of their existence.  He also mentions that thinking about fantasy can help us better understand the history of the topic, which has been clouded by church history. The conversation discusses the importance of stories, and how they can change people's lives in ways that straight up theology cannot. The point is made that from Genesis to Revelation, the Bible is one big story, and that God wants us to learn from and use stories. 

The hosts and guest discuss how the Bible can be interpreted to support the idea of a divine council, and how this can help to get men involved in spirituality and church. Dr. Heiser introduced the idea to Doug, who then did his own research and found an article on the subject. The article blew him away and he realized that he had actually read about the divine council before but it had never hit his consciousness.

Discussion continues with the idea that humans were given dominion over the Earth by God, while the angels were given dominion over the heavenly realms. The conversation then goes on to discuss the idea that the temptation for Eve was not to become the Creator, but to have the ability to know good and evil, which is something she already had. In the Garden of Eden, humans and heavenly beings were able to interact with each other freely. However, after the Fall, humans were banned from the mountain where the heavenly beings resided. The Fall created a rift between humans and the heavenly beings, who were jealous of humans. In the Bible, there are many stories of meetings between God and humans. 

The conversation covers the topic of man's attempts to reach God, starting with Cain and Abel. It is mentioned that Abraham was likely a moon god worshipper in the city of Ur, but God chose him anyway and to make a name for Himself. 

The conversation then moves to Acts chapter two, which is considered the reversal of Babel. In this chapter, many people are gathered together and hearing different languages, the preaching in their own tongues. This is the reversal of Babel, where they're all together, and so they're all speaking one language, and so God separates them into many languages.

Sleep paralysis occurs when the body's natural state of paralysis during REM sleep persists into wakefulness. This can be a terrifying experience, especially if one is not aware that it is a normal phenomenon. People who experience sleep paralysis often see things which can add to the fear and confusion. People experiencing sleep paralysis often go to the doctors, but the standard answer is that it is a sleep disorder. The reality is that sleep paralysis is a whole-body experience that is intertwined with spirituality and the body. The speakers discuss the idolization of doctors and the phenomenon of science becoming a religion. They discuss how science has its own set of presuppositions, one of which is that the supernatural does not exist. They also discuss how this can be a problem for Christian doctors who believe in the supernatural.

They discuss how the show is a treatise for trans-humanism, and how the elite want to use it to control the population. They also discuss the Midnight Mass, another TV show that is recommended by a friend. They quickly transition into talking about testimonies of when they first got introduced to the supernatural. Lindsy talks about a dream he had as a kid, where he and another boy were trying to steal treasure from an attic, and the boy turned into a rabbit and hopped away, leaving Lindsy behind. In the dream, Jesus appeared to Lindsy in a flash of light. Brandon talks about how he was first introduced to the supernatural through a friend who was involved in the occult. He eventually got baptized in the Spirit and started having prophetic dreams and visions. Brandon describes his journey from agnosticism to Christianity, and how his views on the supernatural have changed over time. They recount experiences from their childhood that they couldn't explain, and how they eventually came to believe in the power of the Holy Spirit. They talk about how their views have evolved over time, and how they are now more open to the idea of the supernatural.
