Rilis is a dark and dystopian techno series from the Unrilis record label that was founded in the late '90s by Italian techno icon, Rino Cerrone.

Rino Cerrone has retired from the music industry, but the Rilis legacy lives on after the series was revitalised in 2022 with new releases from the likes of Samuel L Session, Ritzi Lee, A.Paul and DJ Dextro.

The latest release in the Rilis series comes from Sigvard who has established himself working alongside the likes of Marco Bailey and his label MATERIA, but his music can also be found on other imprints such as Exos' Planet X and iVAV Recordings.

Sigvard is an alias of Tom Hades who is also known for his releases on record labels including Planet Rhythm, Sleaze Records (UK) and Gynoid Audio.

'Ravaged' opens the release with its trippy vocals and industrial hypnotics before the fast-flowing percussion and jackin' synths of 'Thrill' take control. 'The Tower Read' has a stripped back groove powered by raw machine funk, and 'Silken' closes out the release with its murky atmosphere and sinister vibe.

Konrad (Italy) is back on Unrilis for his second solo EP, having also featured on a couple of the labels VA releases.

Often charting inside of Beatport's coveted Top 100, Konrad (Italy) is an exceptional talent whose tracks often pick up support from heavyweights such as Joseph Capriati, Alan Fitzpatrick, Sam Paganini and Enrico Sangiuliano.

This four-track EP is another fine example of why Konrad (Italy) is held in such high regard by so many of his peers.

The EP opens with the bleeping melodies, ravey stabs and dark atmosphere of 'Andromeda' before 'Elektra' takes control with it's sparse and dystopian sound. Track three 'Resistance' hits hard with its pounding kick drum and jacking rhythms. Closing the release is the 'Intro' mix of Andromeda which builds tension with eerie pads and sci-fi influenced FX.

Next is the rattling percussion and dramatic bass stabs of Alex Lentini’s “Epilogue” before DJ Jock lifts things up a gear with the throbbing acid-line of his track “Distant Lands Of Unknown”. Not to be outshone, Nicolas Taboada keeps the intensity high with the fast-flowing percussion of his cut “The Train”. Stiv Hey brings a hint of euphoria to the EP with his atmospheric masterpiece “The Hunter” and saving the best till last, The Reactivitz closes the release with the driving force of "Keep Your Mind
