Episode 1 begins the investigation into convicted serial killer Richard Laurence Marquette.
This episode follows three phases of the case: the initial killing, the multi-state search that followed, and Marquette’s flight to Mexico before his capture and return to the United States. It concludes with his trial, conviction, and confession, as documented in court records, FBI files, and archived newspaper reporting.
This is the beginning of the SYD Investigation Team’s breakdown of the case from the ground up.
Unsettled Accounts explores true crime, conspiracies, and unexplained mysteries—where cases are rebuilt through records, timelines, and unanswered questions.
