It's Spooky Season! To celebrate, Sam convince Maria to watch the classic slasher flick Scream! This movie is full of twists and turns, great 90s fashion, and a couple of bad ass women. Does it get better than that?!

This week we went on an Odyssey to find you listeners the worst best movie in this universe. This 1989 gem starring the beautiful Bo Derek, has truly got it all: Ghost Husband, A shady pearl business, public nudity, inexplicable elephant rides and beach baseball games. You really have to see it to believe it folks. This fever dream of a movie is only a 2.1 on IMDB and only made an estimated 25k in the box office.
Try to keep up while we try to explain this movie to you and I hope we sound coherent.

Fans of well crafted time travel sci-fi movies, prepare to be disappointed! Fans of raunchy, late night humour, you might be mildly satisfied!
Hot Tub Time Machine, starring John Cusack, Craig Robinson, Clark Duke and Rob Corddry, is the 2010 answer to the question: Can we make a movie based on this random string of words?
Giving respect when it's due, this movie does offer some great cameos from pre-Marvel Sebastian Stan, and 80s supervillan Billy Zapka ( Cobra Kai! Strike First. Strike Hard. No Mercy) Another exceptional aspect of this movie is its tight runtime coming in at 1 hour 40 minutes. We love to see it folks.

This week we are talking about the Cinderella adaptation no one asked for. Which is appropriate because no one asked us to talk about it either!
We've got a real mish-mash cast with Camilla Cabello at the head as Gen Z Cinderella in a completely undetermined time period, singing arbitrarily chosen songs with the help of folks like Idina Menzel, Peirce Brosnan, and my nemesis, James Corden. I'm still recovering from seeing him in Cats, and then we had to see his dumb face in a flash mob, in one of the weirdest publicity stunts we've seen.
This movie definitely gets some things right, but of course made some bold choices that may not have all paid off. Maria can't figure out what year it takes place and Sam remembers an embarrassing core memory from Jr High.
In the end thought, the Cinderella with Brandy and Whitney Houston still reigns superior.
Switching things up a little this week and talking about the best and worst movies that were adapted from books!
These two camps of people are really passionate about the things that they love, tell a book lover that you thought the movie was better? War crimes. Tell a movie buff that the book was better? Burned at the stake for being pretentious.
And here sit Maria and Sam, who kind of straddle both sides, but are also in neither, but i guess more so into movies??? IDK where we fit into this age old battle, but we're here to talk about movies based on books!

Just like when filming a movie, recording a podcast is bound to have some outtakes. So enjoy this little blooper of us realizing my 18 year old cat lit himself on fire, and the aftermath.
For the record this has happened probably 4 times in his 18 years, he's like a moth to a flame.
Our very first guest! And wow, this one was a match made in heaven. This week we're chatting with the hilarious Alyssa Wooldridge. Her love for movies is unmatched, and her movie picks, impeccable. We shared lots of laughs and talked our way through the 2009 flick, He's Just Not That Into You. With its All Star cast and intertwining storylines, this rom-com is comforting, enjoyable and is always a great option, like a cute and cozy hoodie.

What a great day it is to end the conservator-ship of Britney Spears. We love the smell of justice in the morning.
These days you can't seem to get away from the news of Britney's legal battles and to show our appreciation, we are taking about Crossroads. A simple, sweet, palatable coming of age movie filled with love and friendship. Great cast, music and fashion, it really ticks a lot of those boxes.
Its baaaasically the exact opposite of last week's flick pick. :)

Before Netflix decided every franchise needed a gritty reboot, they made 80s hit tv series Miami Vice.... a gritty reboot.
Starring Colin Farrell and Jamie Fox, get ready for hearing a lot of FBI jargon about going undercover and about deals. The deals going down here, we gotta finish the deal, we're the right guys for the deal. And hey, if you like a no-nonsense cop drama, this is your flick. But personally we need a little more 'Buddy' to our 'Cop', a little more wisecracks and a little less transporting crack. I mean we also love it when a cop has an unlikely sidekick. A psychic sidekick? Good. A dog sidekick? GREAT.
Alas, Miami Vice offers up a more tight laced type of fun (?) and in an unlikely turn of events, Maria outlasts Sam who could not focus enough to watch the rest of this movie!! Her excuse, not enough whimsey, too much Audioslave.
