The Black experience has a lot of the same components no matter the region, we discussed growing up black and all the similarities of our upbringing. She brought transparency in discussing quitting her 9-5 to focus on growing her brand and the uncertainty and pressures of entrepreneurship and using her time abroad as a moment of reflection and escape. We also talked about mental health and the pressures that come with trying to maintain a sense of composure in today’s society. We also got a little nosey on on her dating status. All in all this is an episode you don’t want to miss.

On this episode we were joined by @precioushallcomedy, All Def Digital comedian and Oak Cliff native. She pulled up with and her comedian partner in crime and Crenshaw representative @kamirawhiteis. We discussed being a woman in a male dominated industry along with the overall grind of comedy. They also informed us of the struggle of dating as a comedian. On a special episode of Unspokn Konversation we were joined by the cast and crew of Washed: The Series. We discussed the creation of Washed and some of the struggles and lessons of producing an indie series and marketing it from Season 1 to Season 2.They also gave us some insight on their January 23rd screening and premiere of Season 2 here in Dallas. This episode was a great lesson of not allowing a lack of resources to impact the quality of your product. Make sure you pull up, plug in, and support.

This week on @unspoknkonversation we were joined by @iam_jadetinner , founder of @theourfoundation and creator of @themensbrunch. She also brought along dope guests @iammikeburks, business coach/consultant and founder of Eichon and Tevin Brewer, owner of @brewersandsonahomes and @WorldClasscreditrepair. We kicked off the year on a strong note discussing the upcoming @themensbrunch benefitting @theourfoundation March 28,2020 and how it was started. We also discussed perception vs reality in the dynamic of gender wars between men and women,along with other topics.

With this being the last episode of the year/decade we decided a show recapping the highs and lows of 2019 and just some all around laughs would suffice. Pull up,plug in, and walk with us.

We recapped our Thanksgiving Holidays and discussed bringing a significant other to meet the family (what a nerve racking experience lol). @shoesshirtattah discussed his work as a nightlife/ Dallas culture curator and provided some insight on growing up in a Nigerian-American household along with the growing presence of African culture in American pop culture.
