UnSquish the Fish - Miami Dolphins

We go over many of the things I saw during Friday nights scrimmage - Sorry, we forgot to talk more in depth about the deep ball lol.  How did the O-Line look. What about RT17? Who stood out on both sides of the ball.  Oh yeah, by the way - Suuuuuuhhhhh!!!!!!

I am joined by a contributor and writer for the Phinmaniacs.com website Efrain Ramos.  Efrain is a long time Miami Dolphins fan.  He also is a co-founder of the popular NBA website Hooptrends.com.  Efrain currently resides in upstate New York and once a year he proudly represents the Miami Dolphins at Ralph Wilson stadium taking much abuse for his allegiance to our team. He tells us more and about that in the show.

Discussing the reports and my trip to Miami Dolphins training camp.  Loving Ryan Tannehill. Wondering when we see more activity from Jordan Cameron.  The offensive line is still having issues in pass protection for sure.  DLine looking stout of course - no surprise there.  I am joined by Dave Hiley from the Dolfinatics blogtalk radio show.

Yes it's early but what fun would it be to project the 53 man roster with actual good information?  Shawn and I break down our thoughts on who will make the 53 man roster for the Miami Dolphins and why.

Shawn took more of a 'best available" approach while my angle was Special Teams, Special Teams, Special Teams.

During the episode we also put out a challenge to the listeners.  How close can you get to accurately predicting the 53 man roster ahead of training camp?  Tweet the show with a pic of your roster or email us and let's see who gets the closest.

I know everyone is up in arms about us apparently not going after Andre Johnson.  But once you dive a little deeper the reasons are very obvious as to why.  He was clearly not a redzone threat and we lay out the stats to prove it.  The Dolphins were the number 1 team in the NFL in redzone trips last year.  Getting from the 20 to the 20 was not a problem.  Getting into the endzone was a different story and Johnson would not have fixed that issue.  Guys like Parker, Cameron and even Jennings are better redzone threats than Johnson.  Pair that with a few other things we mention in the show and you get your answer plain as day.  Also we talk about Jarvis Landry and Dion Sims as this years possible breat out stars and a lot more.  I'm joined by Mika Romero from watchnextyear.com.  A So FL sports website covering mostly Miami Dolphins and Miami Heat.

Than

Has Philbin improved over his first 3 years as the Miami Dolphins head coach.  We site examples that he has.  But is he still a good enough coach to bring the Dolphins where they want to go?  Shawn and I discuss that and whether we feel his low key personality is a good fit for the NFL.  Also, is there a national or even local media biased against the Miami Dolphins?  If so, why?  Or is the biased a bit more with local media?  Are they just jaded from the Dolphins having good off season after good off season but it never translates to wins on the field.

Most football fans at least casually play fantasy football.  I have personally played for over 10 years.  Some would say I have even had a slight obsession with it.  Ever since I envisioned doing this podcast I knew I wanted to do an entire episode around the Miami Dolphin players and their rankings.  And now you have it.

I am joined by Stagg Party from pyromaniac.com - a well known fantasty football website and podcast.  We spend over an hour talking about the Miami Dolphins.  Where should you draft them?  Why do they rank there?  What's there upside?  How low can there floor be?  How well can they do individually and as a team? Listen to Staggs rattle off some awesome stats about the team and its players.  He also expresses his love for Kenny Stills. Learn all this and more as you mull over your fantasy football draft plan for 2015.
