My guest today Melissa Browne is a best-selling author, financial educator, business strategist & mentor and entrepreneur who is passionate about helping women in particular to live a life by design not default by taking charge of their finances.

What I've learned over the years is that my most challenging opponent is usually myself.

But having these 5 practices in my life means that self doubt isn't something I have to concern myself with.

Sure doubt may pop up again from time to time but I know exactly what to do to stop it from limiting my possibilities.

It's a question I started asking myself many years ago in 2014 when my life was turned upside down when my marriage ended.  

Now in the midst of the global pandemic and navigating lockdown life I've been asking myself the same question.

In this episode I share my thoughts about the life I'm living and the life I'd like to be living and what I'd like to focus on for this one precious life of mine.  

One of the things I've learned about myself over these last few years is that self expression is something many of us hide away from.  We often worry too much about what other people with think of us.  

Well what I'm learning to lean into the wiser I get - is my truth.  Being in alignment with myself helps me see that I no longer fear the judgment of others.  My validation comes from within me not outside of me and it's incredibly liberating.  

I hope this episode gives you the inspiration you need to step into your truth and get clarity on what you want to to do with your one precious life.

Rachel Kealy the founder of the Women's Self Defence Network is the Unstoppable Woman on this weeks podcast.

Growing up, Rachel lacked confidence and tried her hardest to feel invisible when it came to protecting herself from violence. After experiencing a few violent encounters herself, Rachel soon discovered that her preconceived ideas on how to keep herself safe were incorrect and the things that she was doing were putting her in a more vulnerable and potentially dangerous situation.

She discovered that whilst the physical side of Self Defence was valuable, the mental aspect was far more important and easily attainable by everyone. She believes that while it is great to train for a violent encounter, it is so much more important to learn how to avoid the violence altogether.

It's so easy to find ourselves striving, getting caught in the cycle of not feeling like we've done enough or achieved enough in our lives.

It's easy to find ourselves comparing our lives with others, looking at where they have got to, what they've achieved, the wealth they have created, the family they are enjoying and find ourselves feeling less than or that somehow we've failed to reach the potential within us or perhaps we don't believe we have that potential that others demonstrate.

In this short episode I share how to finally feel at peace no matter where you are on your journey, no matter what you've accomplished and no matter what you feel you are missing. This is how I learned to feel peace and you can too.
