This episode delves into the life of Robert, Morris, Financier of the American Revolution. There was a period in which he was on his own back essentially just using his own funds to give Washington's troops Money, munitions, ships etc. Because of his lucrative business, it allowed him to gain a seat in the Second Continental Congress and eventually become the Superintendent of Finance(Secretary of the Treasury) under the articles of Confederation. Unfortunately for having such a successful business and life, he eventually ran into financial troubles that finished his career and eventually he died, near penniless and left with a 5 line obituary.
