In this Untapped Underlined, I discuss the age-old dilemma of pursuing your dreams or conforming to society's standards. Many people struggle with this choice, as following your truth can often lead to judgement from others & uncertainty, while conforming to societal norms can provide a sense of security and acceptance.
I begin by examining the ways in which society influences our goals and aspirations. From a young age, we are often told what we should and shouldn't do, what is considered successful and what is not. This can lead us to set goals that align with societal expectations, rather than our own desires and passions.
I share the importance of self-awareness in understanding what truly drives us. Many people may have an idea of what their dream is, but may not have truly examined why they want to pursue it. Understanding the reasons behind your goals can help you make a more informed decision about whether to chase your dreams or conform to societal standards.
Ultimately - there is no right or wrong answer but I encourage listeners to tune in & take the time to reflect on your values, priorities and own intuitive wisdom. And share one of my favourite questions to support you to access your own guidance.
Chasing your dreams may not be the easy choice, but it can lead to a fulfilling and meaningful life.
