Colombian President Gustavo Petro said that he will not attend the inauguration of Abelardo de la Espriella on August 7th. Petro also added that he will not shake his hand.

He said that the far-right politician knows why, because the election was fraudulent, he alleged, and announced that on Thursday, he will file new legal challenges accompanied by evidence. 

Iran

Iran issued a serious warning this Wednesday stating that it could block other key energy corridors after the US reactivated its military blockade on the Strait of Hormuz. 

On the military front, Iran launched a third wave of missile and drone attacks against the US bases, and also interests in neighbouring Gulf countries such as Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates.

FIFA

And the FIFA World Cup already has its first finalist, Spain, after defeating France 2-0. 

This Wednesday, Argentina and England face off, with the winner advancing to the final.
