In this episode of Netflix’s documentary series, we take a deep dive in to the controversial story surrounding Manti Te’o and his girlfriend who supposedly died in 2012 only to discover that it was all a hoax. Te’o was an All-American linebacker born in Hawaii, played for Notre Dame in college and then being drafted by the San Diego Chargers in 2013. This controversy sparked a media frenzy from cover ups, conspiracy theories and other rumors all aimed at Te’o that also began to question his character and reputation.
