Ghost guns are privately assembled firearms made up of parts without serial numbers, creating an untraceable weapon.

While this year’s highly publicized mass shootings in Buffalo, Uvalde, and Highland Park all involved legally obtained firearms, cities are reporting that ghost guns are becoming increasingly common in local crime.

Today, host Esty Dinur speaks with ProPublica reporter Anjeanette Damon about her recent reporting on Polymer80, a major manufacturer of ghost gun kits and parts who has been flouting Nevada law, and what it means for gun regulation.
