When believe that God is first and foremost a God who gives.  And He is a God who gives out of love that is unconditional. But not everything about God is unconditional.  When God gives, He gives His very best and He seems to think that He deserves our very best.  Pastor Ben preaches on Malachi 1:8-11.

How often do we talk or think about Jesus return?  Talking and thinking constantly about Jesus return helps the believer fight the temptation to just want to get to heaven.  It is not just about going to heaven when we die.  It is about the hope we have when Jesus will return and make all things new. We believe in the Authority of God’s Word. One of the very first prayers can be found at a wedding that Jesus was invited to.  The wedding at Cana depicts a conversation between Jesus and his mother Mary that could be the very first prayer request. We believe that God is a friend and has friends. In the church there is a term used to describe this, the Trinity. God who is one, and yet three distinct persons. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This means that before we were created God had friends and was in community. It is out of this community that we were created into community. We call this Trinitarian Community. Who Are You?  What does it mean to be human? We believe that we were created in the image of God, created as persons by a personal God and we are completely incapable of of knowing anything about mirroring God until we look at Jesus during his earthly incarnation. Something has gone wrong terribly. And everyone knows it. No matter how much money we spend, how many elections we hold, how many organizations we start, how many complaints we air, how many tears we cry, or how many wars we wage, boredom, annoyances, miseries, fears, tragedies, suffering, injustice, evil, sickness, pain, and death continue.
