Ru: В середине весны, когда цветы тюльпанов уже распустились на клумбах, школьники из Санкт-Петербурга направились в аквариум зоопарка.
En: In the middle of spring, when the tulip flowers had already bloomed in the flowerbeds, schoolchildren from Sankt-Peterburga headed to the zoo's aquarium.
Ru: Среди них был Николай, застенчивый, но усердный ученик.
En: Among them was Nikolai, a shy but diligent student.
Ru: У него была мечта: стать морским биологом.
En: He had a dream: to become a marine biologist.
Ru: Ему нужно было сделать проект по биологии.
En: He needed to work on a biology project.
Ru: Это было его шанс показать себя.
En: It was his chance to prove himself.
Ru: Аквариум был большим.
En: The aquarium was large.
Ru: Внутри находились огромные стеклянные ёмкости, полные ярких рыб и морских существ.
En: Inside were huge glass tanks, full of bright fish and sea creatures.

En: Mikhail was the curator of the aquarium.
Ru: Он всегда с удовольствием рассказывал школьникам о своих любимцах.
En: He always enjoyed sharing stories with the students about his favorite sea creatures.
Ru: Николай знал, что интервью с Михаилом украсило бы его проект.
En: Nikolai knew that an interview with Mikhail would enhance his project.
Ru: Но он волновался, так как разговор должен был происходить на глазах у всего класса.
En: But he was nervous because the conversation would take place in front of the whole class.
