Ageism is prejudice or discrimination on the grounds of a person’s age. A stereotype is a mistaken idea or belief many people have about a thing or a group that is based upon how they look on the outside, which may be untrue or only partly true. All of us have been victim to stereotyping in one way or another, whether is was us lumping a group of people together without understanding all the facts or being lumped in to a group due to others not understanding or caring to listen to the facts. It doesn’t feel good and, in many cases, can cause pain, suffering, exclusion or bigotry.

Join us as we dig deeper into understanding ageism, the impact it has had through the generations and how media has influenced stereotypes. Are things changing for the better or getting worse? Let’s find out together.
