Up And Down And All Around

On this episode, we continue our run of indie daring games with this 2012 indie puzzle-platformer.  My lovely guest host Deanna and I talk about the journey mastermind Mike Bithell took us with his story about these blocky little AIs. We go in-depth on what's the message of this game, why should we care about these blocks, and how it holds up almost ten years since it's release. Is it worth going into the mainframe to help our block friends or should we just turn off the system? Find on this in-depth, loose, and spoiler-filled conversation.

On this episode, we're back to our normal format of the show after a string of "special" episodes. I can't think of a better game to kick off 2021 of the show than this gem of a game which is one of the greatest and biggest indie darlings of the past generation. My lovely guest host StarrySan and I go in-depth on why the 2018's Matt Makes Games masterpiece holds a special place in our hearts three years since it's release. Is it worth climbing up Celeste mountain once again or should we just stop after our first climb? Find on this in-depth, loose, and (somewhat) spoiler-filled conversation.

On this episode, we're talking about the darkest hour of our favourite purple dragon series. My guest host Conrad and I go in-depth on why the sixth-generation debut of Spyro The Dragon is considered the Sonic 06 of the series and why it was sort of doomed from the start. Does Enter the Dragonfly truly deserve all the hate it gets online? Well...yes it does, but find out why the team that worked on the game were dealt a bad hand on this in-depth, loose, and spoiler-filled conversation.

On this episode, we're talking about the blue bomber once again. However, we're not talking about the classic series this time around. We're heading into the future to the year 20XX for the X series. Guest host Matt J and I breakdown the game to see if the original Mega Man X holds up as one of best games of the whole Mega Man franchise and a memorable introduction of X and fan favourite Zero. Does the original game hold up as one of the greatest games from SNES or is it better to just stick with the classic series? Find out on this in-depth, loose, and spoiler-filled conversation.

On this episode, we head back to the Nintendo Entertainment System for a space trip to the planet Zebes where one of Nintendo's most beloved franchise was born. Guest host Alexander Harder and I breakdown the game to see if the original 1986 Metroid holds up as one of the best on the system and as the memorable introduction to the bounty hunter herself, Samus Aran. Does the original game hold up as the great first chapter in this amazing franchise or is better to just let it drift out alone in the cold in space? Find out on this in-depth, loose, and spoiler-filled conversation.
