"Gerald Krasner took me to one side and told me what was going to happen. I was to stand at the back of the room. He would ask me for another cheque and I was to nod if we were going to continue or shake my head and Gerald would liquidate the club right there and then. It wouldn't have got through the weekend"

This was the reality that Jeff Mostyn was faced with. And it was that moment where Jeff Mostyn saved our beloved football club. Without that moment, we wouldn't have gone from Minus 17 to the Premier League. We would not have existed.

But how did a boy from Manchester who spent his weekends watching the Busby Babes and his club Manchester City, sneaking down The Cliff to meet the late great Sir Bobby Charlton, find himself down in Bournemouth - a town he admits he didn't even know where it was.

Jeff goes through getting involved in the club from the early days being introduced to Abdul Jaffer to Paul Baker to good friend Steve Sly to Adam Murry to Eddie Mitchell and finally Maxim Demin - its a story of highs and lows but the greatest journey we have been on.

He also explains the appointment of Eddie Howe and the journey to the Top Flight.

We thank Jeff for joining us on this podcast. Please do order Jeff Mostyn - The Chairman on Amazon - https://amzn.eu/d/aIz5NA3

Jeff also mentions signing sessions at AFC Bournemouth and Castlepoint Waterstones.

Our very own Paul from OZ, who regular viewers and listeners will know from our morning programme Cherry AM, tells us his story as he recently returned to the UK for the first time in 25 years.

Matt and Paul met up in person and went back to Dean Court, firstly for a look around to see how the stadium had changed, a visit to the Club shop, and a big thank you to the staff for treating Paul so well, before returning in the evening as Paul tasted what hospitality had to offer before and after the Fulham encounter, and Paul tells us of his travels across the UK, including a story about the Beatles and stadiums in Liverpool, during his four week stay!
