Up The Cherries In All Departments - AFC Bournemouth Fans Podcast

On Saturday AFC Bournemouth hosted Everton in a game which ended in a 2-1 victory for Andoni Iraola's side with Dominic Solanke and then a Seamus Coleman error handing the Cherries three points which surely, mathematically, made the club safe from relegation.

Another season in the Premier League was effectively rubber stamped on Tuesday night when the Cherries beat Crystal Palace 1-0 with a goal through Justin Kluivert towards the end of the game.

There were moments in both games which were concerning though and we address all the talking points from the two fixtures including the debate of whether Neto is Number One and an interesting thought bought up by another fan plus we also look at Alex Scott and his performances, whether we can keep hold of Lloyd Kelly who has been fantastic and a great Philip Billing showing against Palace.

All opinions are valid and we would love to hear your thoughts, whether you are a fellow Cherry or supporter of Palace or the Toffees - let us know what you think!

Thank you again for watching.

International break over and we look forward to our next game at Dean Court as Everton arrive from Merseyside in a much needed search for three points.

The Toffees have again had a torrid season with 10 points deducted which was then reduced to 6, fans furious with the Premier League with Corrupt signs around the ground and calling for Richard Masters to resign as Sean Dyche battles away with his troops to maintain the longest serving top flight clubs position in the Premier League.

We welcomed back on Ocean Colour Scene Bassist Damon Minchella to discuss the season so far, what he makes of the powers that be both at Goodison Park and at the Premier League's HQ as well as where they go from here.

We also discuss some further stories with Damon about his career - performing with The Who and the time Billy from Green Day whacked Steve plus other funny moments.

But on a more serious note we also discuss the terrors currently happening to the Palestinian people and why the world needs to step in to help stop the atrocities!

Reading Football Club have a little light at the end of what has been a very dark tunnel with staff not being paid, players having to eat microwave meals and the obvious points deductions. However the club continue to fight against the odds and sit clear of the League One drop zone with 9 games to go.

But what has it been like to experience one of the most turbulent regimes in Reading's history. We welcomed on Yazmine Delarose, the partner of Royals midfielder Lewis Wing to find out just that.

Yazmine explains how she met Lewis, the experience from Day One at the club and if she feels they were missold, the unity of the Royals team and appreciating the love from the Reading fans!

Enjoy this unique insight behind the scenes at the worst run club in the country (until Dai Yongge leaves which is hopefully soon).

Profit and Sustainability Rules. It seems to be the dirty word at the moment. Why have the Premier League bought in these new rules which seem to be upsetting everyone bar the top teams (or so we think...)

Are AFC Bournemouth in trouble?

Why Everton, Nottingham Forest & Leicester City and not Manchester City and Chelsea?

Sky Sports Presenter and avid Cherries fan Mark McAdam sat down with us to discuss those exact questions, look at the profits made by the Cherries and talk us through the great work done at the club.

Let us know what you think... Is PSR designed for the Top Six? And will Newcastle United or another club be able to break England's top table?

Nottingham Forest were deducted 4 points for breaching Profit and Sustainability Rules to join the 6 points deducted from Everton earlier in the season (which was originally 10).

However, we don't feel either side have been treated fairly at all.

Hear us out, we are AFC Bournemouth fans so many would think we are relieved at two of our rivals getting points deductions. However we look at the complete picture. Could we fall foul of the rules? How are the deductions being decided? And what choice did Nottingham Forest have upon promotion to the Premier League?

Should Richard Masters resign? Are you happy that Everton and Forest have been handed out their punishments? Or absolutely livid?

And does this close the door to dream stories in the future like Leicester City winning the title?

Yesterday, we released a video off the back of the Mail Sport article about the £900 Million deal for the EFL which AFC Bournemouth was reported to have rejected along with 9 other clubs.

Craig responds to the comments made off the back of the previous video and why the issues raised make sense. Let us know your thoughts!

AFC Bournemouth according to the Mail Sport Online are one of the Terrible Ten who decided AGAINST a financial package for the EFL which was estimated to have been £900 Million and would have assisted clubs at a grassroots level.

Here, we discuss why this decision STINKS mainly due to our history of dicing with financial troubles such as that in the Minus 17 season, the Winter Gardens and spending most of our history in Division 3 South!

We also thank Stan Collymore who highlighted us when we explained our displeasure and why our approach is wrong.

16th December 2023. 59 minutes on the clock. AFC Bournemouth are playing Luton Town at Dean Court. Football suddenly became irrelevant.

The medical teams swung into action as Luton Town captain Tom Lockyer had collapsed. Cherries midfielder Philip Billing rushed over to Tom's aid. Dean Court was silent. A pin could drop and it could be hurt. No one in that stadium could care less about that scoreline on the board. It was all about making sure Tom was OK.

Its scenes like this that you don't ever want to experience at a football ground. However it was another, unfortunate, situation that both clubs had been thrown together in.

Thankfully Tom is making good progress towards what everyone will hope is a full recovery.

We welcomed back on Mark Crowther from our initial preview to discuss that day. Mark cycles to every single away game in the Premier League and is again raising money but with a difference this time around.

Mark will be riding from Luton to Bournemouth for the British Heart Foundation - his campaign titled Heart Heroes 4 Lockyer - a campaign which has already raised a fantastic amount of money.

If you are able to, please do donate to the campaign by clicking on the link here - https://www.justgiving.com/page/bournemouthbike124tomlockyerheartheroes

Please do also visit the following to Learn the Steps of CPR - https://revivr.bhf.org.uk

We wish Tom a full recovery and thank you for watching and donating generously to this cause.

Sheffield United under the stewardship of Paul Heckingbottom climbed out of the Championship last term with the club bankrolled by a Saudi Prince with a squad who had a lot of shine in their ranks. What wasn't there to love.

Well something was definitely up at Bramall Lane as the Blades sit on 13 points, with Chris Wilder back at the helm and despite his efforts struggling to turn the ship around and the owner who is part of the Al Saud family struggling to find the formula to make Sheffield United successful.

We spoke to Jonny from the brilliant The Shoreham View to get his views ahead of this game and find out more about the team following the 6-0 home defeat by Arsenal (which was 5-0 at half time mind), Hecky, Wilder, The Fresh Prince of Bramall Lane also known as Abdullah Bin Mosaad Al Saud and where the side go from here.

Let us know your thoughts on the Blades season so far and your prediction for this match.

Its time to make the trip to Lancashire, to a town which is the crème de la crème of the United Kingdom, a town which was high up on Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip's list of things to do after their coronation and is the football club of choice for the King of England - King Charles III - I think you might have heard of him.

It is also the club of choice for another King. One who can sell you your 7th toaster and 11th kettle and thats before we even get to the premium teddy bears. That man is the one and the only Mr Andy Hodgson - a man who reports on Burnley games. He has claret running through him, thats a fact!

Andy joined Craig to discuss VAR, Vincent Kompany and if he is still the man for the job, the players and the short comings this season and can they bounce back if the inevitable relegation, in most Clarets fans minds, happens.

We also get Andy - a man who could sell sand to Saudi Arabia - to instead sell Burnley to the world's wealthiest.

Let us know what you think. Would you buy? And let us know your score predictions!

It only costs £7.99.
