This week we ask the question, “How does a career unfold?” James teaches us the roles of humility and God’s will. As we explore our motivations, beliefs, and desires regarding our careers/work, consider the words of Arthur Simon, president of Bread for the World, “…the problem is not that we’ve tried faith and found it wanting, but that we’ve tried mammon and found it addictive, and as a result find following Christ inconvenient.”
