Over the weekend, Parliament passed two important bills pertaining to agriculture - the Farmer’s Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotional and Facilitation) Bill, 2020 and the Farmer’s (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020. A third Bill, The Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill 2020, has been passed by the Lower House and awaits the approval of the Upper House. Adit Jain shares his insights.
